Watched Pots

I randomly found this band, Watched Pots. It reminds me of Primitive Radio Gods in the way it's extremely simple and yet really deep. It's really introspective and somehow conveys a ludicrous amount of emotion without much complexity. I dunno; I like it.

Another Happy Post?

Finished the lab at 2:45 today. It started it 2 and should end at 5:00 or so. The exam went well. We got some rain. I found the full Whole Wheat Bread collection online and free, and I found yet another feature in my car.

Needless to say, I'm in a fucking stupendous mood.

Go to MySpace.com/Kaelorr. Listen to my profile song. Dance, enjoy yourself, etc. If you check my song history you'll see a song by a Montreal band called Malajube. It's also excellent and sung in Francais. I would highly suggest going to Malajube's MySpace and watching the video.

11 days to Drunktoberfest! The final car setup: Nikki, Meagan, Sarah, me.

I'm a bit moist.

But at least I can drive. Fucking idiots...

Anyway, lunch break at home! I have two more lab reports to finish up and some food to eat, but the o-chem midterm went pretty well. We needed the rain.

Let's hope the lab goes just as well.

I found Whole Wheat Bread albums streaming free online.
I'm real happy about that.

Seeing Transformers tonight at 11 at UC's MainStreet Cinema. $2 for UC students, $4 for everyone else. If you're in gimme a ring.

Free like Willy!

I'm by and large done with the fucking homework. I'm so happy I could hug a stranger. I... I'm not even sure how to describe it. I'll just smile a whole lot and play happy music.

In other news, Alicia is on the way, Kraut is in a better mood, and I'm listening to Keane. Today turned very quickly from something awful to the high point of the week.

Saturday: Paintball with BBBS and maybe a trip to Jackson Center with Alicia. I'm excited. I can't wait to shoot some bitches. It's been too damn long.

It's Perfect Outside

And I'm kinda pissed my screen has so much glare in the sun. I'll find a way to do this homework outside if it kills me.

Anyway, I stay online the whole time because I take ten minute breaks every hour at ten till the hour. You can usually talk to me then, but I'd avoid it unless I talk to you. Normally I'm on a roll and unexpected IMs throw things off. Also, I've got an hour for dinner sometime. Other than that it's solid OWL (Organic Chemistry online homework) or O-Chem lab reports. I'm gonna be awake late tonight.

12 days to Drunktoberfest! So far I have Meagan and Nikki in the car for sure. I'll see if Sarah Leidy is still in at the request of Sara Ames. Alicia also requested a seat, but I'm not cruel enough to put five people in my Jetta. If Sarah is out, Alicia is in.

Tomorrow circa 5:00 PM I'll be free from this shitty weekend, so I'll be tired but happy.

If I could have anything it'd be weekly trips to Louisville and New York.

Acoustic Brew is every Thursday at 7:00. It's free live music at the sports bar on campus. Non-bearcats welcome. Let me know if you want in and I'll make it happen.

Currently listening to "Beautiful Day" by U2 on XM. The timing for that song is fucking sweet.

Dinner Break

This is the hour I've allowed myself for IM and blog and internet in this heinous day of homework. I'm pretty sure I've pissed Brandon off by more or less telling him to fuck off when he IMed me, but I don't much care. I did my damnedest to not call or IM or bother him in any way Thursday when he had a ton of work to do, so I don't want to hear it. And the "I couldn't read your away message" excuse is no good. It's like me telling a cop I didn't know it was illegal to do something because I never read the law. Get a fucking IM client that allows you to read away messages maybe. If I complain about how busy I'm gonna be you should know to leave me the fuck alone from the start. If I want to talk between now and Tuesday I'll contact you guys. Until then assume I'm busy. Your only real contact will be one blog post now, one tomorrow, and one Tuesday saying you can talk to me again.

I'm terribly sorry, but I have college classes to pass. I've already fucked one of them up as it is.

It's not that hard to catch a damn football!

Lost the game to Louisville. What the fuck happened to our D?

Other than that, the night was awesome. The game itself was really good too, except for the result. Lots of suspense. Too many people. I had a good time.

The earlier part of the day was pretty good, too. Henry County, the band I was guiding, arrived way early so I got a call ten minutes before I was supposed to be there telling me my band beat me to school. Whatever. They were really nice, really organized, and really efficient. They changed in half the time it took Corbin, a much smaller band. It's good to see that they're in semifinals. I hung around long after I had planned to leave and helped Rob and Sonoka guide Russell, too.

And now begins the countdown: 13 days to Drunktoberfest. Meagan is in. Nikki, you still in? I think Sarah Leidy has a spot, too, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check. It's BYOB, so don't forget a tribute.

On a side note, this band is sweet. They're similar to Interpol, but with the sort of distorted electronic parts The Bravery is known for.

Another Late Night

Another good time.

Almost feels like two days: The bad day before lab and the good day during and after.

Lab went swimmingly. I only spilled a little of the concentrated reagents on my hands, so the chemical burns are small.

Ended up here and bored after I ran for some errands. Went to Wal-Mart and got some cheap earrings. I now have variety! Yip! Ran into Trish today, too. I ended up with (Somehow) a BMO! pin and a small measure of ganja. Ended up bored and home.

So I got some half-price chicken and went to hang at NKU. Not much happened there. Miller High Life isn't so bad when it's ice-fucking-cold. Give it a chance to warm up, though... Listening to Fithe trash talk his Pokemon is funny as shit. Ryan has some sweet shit on his walls.

As I reached my house I got a call from Chris. Met him, Gabe, and Glenn at Whitey's.

In all, a pleasant day. Kaitlin, I may be forever single but I can guarantee I'll never feel alone. The above is almost a normal day. I spent the whole day, more or less, with friends. After the exam grade freak-out I got inundated with responses. One of the advantages of good friends is that they won't have you feeling alone and down if they can stop it.

As for music... I'm listening to BearCast again. In the car I've spent a lot of time with The Format, The Lashes, and Editors. Tomorrow is gonna be grand.

Now that the storm has passed...

The calm sets in!

Yeah, thanks for the assault on my last blog post. :) I'm feeling rather better about it after how well my lab went today, though.

And Kraut, I have no work ethic. I can no sooner take a day off and make myself study than grow another arm.
Also, the storm I alluded to earlier isn't nearly as bad. Seems to have diffused mostly.

What I have to do this week/weekend: Re-learn a shit-ton of calc, get ready for exams in o-chem, thermo, biology. Complete 4 lab reports. Finish a month of o-chem homework.

And that's just before Wednesday.

In conclusion, just because I face flunking out of college because of one class doesn't mean I'm gonna let that happen. I'm a tenacious bastard and I'll scrape by if it kills me. This, my friends, is called "optimism."

Also, game tomorrow. Fuckin' A! I can't wait.

So here's how this is gonna go. You guys suck hardcore at being mean, so I'm offering each of you the opportunity to hit me. Go for it. Full on hit me. No face, no balls, and warn me first. Those are the only rules. Plus, I'm curious to see how hard you guys can throw a punch. :)

Consequences

Remember that midterm I mentioned in the last post? I got a 27% on it. 16 out of 60. The class average was 47/60. She pointed out that anyone with a 30/60 should drop the class.

You know what happens when I drop the class? I'm no longer certified for coop. The one thing I've been really waiting for for two years is gone. I have no choice but to pass this or I don't have a job spring quarter. I can afford maybe two more quarters, but after that I'm out of money and I can't work and do engineering.

I pass calc or I'm just biding my time before I have to drop out and try another school. Give up two years. Fuck that.

I feel like I've been kicked in the lungs.

I can already see the sympathetic responses I'm getting from this. I don't want them. Take your sympathy and shove it up your ass. I don't need anyone to tell me they know how I feel or it'll all be okay. Fuck that. I need an ass kicking.
No hugs; only punches. Ugh. Once again I'm relying on nothing more than music to make me feel okay. I hate fucking up like this. Stress that makes it physically difficult to breathe isn't worth it.

On an entirely separate note, a storm is brewing a few miles southeast of campus. I think it's gonna rain on my parade. Metaphor metaphor metaphor.

And Read the comment Emily left here. Well played, madam, well played.
