Plans

So next weekend it seems I'll be busy. Friday Brandon wants to play some 40K. Saturday is Drunktoberfest! Sunday? I have ideas.

Sometime this week I have to ask Jimmy if I can give him a ride to the liquor store. I really don't like asking people for things. Ever.

My idea for Sunday: Anyone up for a drive to the Middletown haunted trails? I went last year and they are awesome. If people seem to be interested I'll get the prices and best time and make a Facebook event out of it.

The song on the MySpace is really happy. Some kind of upbeat indie pop rock stuff from France. Don't bother with the band's page, though. I don't like anything else on their MySpace.

Magic!

The second half of yesterday was interesting. Finally got around to eating the magic baklava I got from Trish. According to Trish, it "takes two hours to kick in and makes your blood feel like glitter." Took three or four hours and I got the mildest of mild body highs. I was disappointed. Mostly just got real tired and proceeded to drive around NKY while forcing my eyes to stay open. I almost killed Meagan and Brandon several times because I nodded off but with any luck that wasn't real evident to the passengers. When I finally got home I fell asleep in the basement.

The weird part is that I woke up two floors up in my room. I looked around for my glasses and watch, assuming that I had just imagined going to sleep downstairs, but no. My phone, glasses, watch, wallet, key... All right where I left them in the basement.

Gotta find something to do today. I don't know what. Just something. You have ideas?

6 days to Drunktoberfest! Now comes the official search for 2 fifths of Burnett's. I know it's crap, but it fits in the compartment in my trunk better than other bottles. It's also cheap.

Orange and Pink

I have welts in places I don't want to talk about, paint in my hair, a bruised penis, several little cuts...

I love this sport.

Paintball took longer than I expected, so Alicia left for Jackson Center when I was in Aurora. Meh. I'm cool with home. Maybe something interesting will happen.

I need a shower. My ribs, shoulder, and junk are ailing me.

I love this sport.

Fromage

I don't remember the Resident Evil movies being quite so cheesy. [shrug] Zombie flicks rock.

Had a good time as usual. Nothing interesting happened, so by his own rule I never called Brandon. It really didn't look like Alicia had a good time. I think Meagan feels kinda bad about mooching so many rides off me, but I'd rather have more people and less gas than the reverse. Also, it isn't mooching if I always offer.

I'm playing paintball tomorrow! I can't wait! It's been a long time. Maybe a year, so I suck at it again. I'm gonna have some real nice welts to show off. :) The rest of tomorrow is more or less a toss-up now. I don't know what I'm doing.

In one week and one day exactly I'll be looking around at people passed out on Steve's floor.

It rained a little.

And people were frizzeaking out!

I hung out upstairs for a bit and then wandered down to the basement to keep Brandon and my dog quiet, but then it stopped raining after the first big front. Went out and checked my car. Nothing was awry. Returned to my room, watched the sky flash through my window for about fifteen minutes, and slept like a well-fed baby. I haven't slept that well in rather a long time. And it's perfect outside today. Hell, God even saw fit to wash the dirt off my car.

Yeah, I know I'm atheist. It's a metaphor. Calm down.

Turns out the midterm today has a fucking uber huge curve on it. I finished maybe 60% of the test and judging by what I heard from other people I'm above average, which gives me an A. I'm damn happy. I also got a random free Sierra Mist today.

I'm gonna buy myself some chocolate for sweetest day. I love me.

This Rise Against album is wicked sweet.

I need to get my hands on a small captive bead ring or a circular barbell. I'm gonna put it in to the right of the stud. 9 days!

Something to Wait For

I have a 9 AM exam tomorrow. It's gonna suck hardcore. Like Tera Patrick hardcore. Yeah.

After that, though... I'm gonna party like it's 1999. I've a movie night planned tomorrow. It's on Facebook. I impulse-invited some people. Most of you were in there. I left out the Emilies because they're in weird places. Anyone else I either invited or meant to invite.

After that comes Saturday. I'm gonna finally play some paintball Saturday. First game in probably a year. I can't fucking wait. Later that day I'll either be headed up to Jackson Center with Alicia or I'll be baked beyond reason. Trish said the baklava made her blood "feel like glitter." I'll take that as a good thing.

Nothing Sunday so far. Maybe homework; probably not. I might take a peek at the 1st place trophy just to confirm that it's still at Beechwood.

After that is another uneventful week followed by Drunktoberfest! I probably won't get drunk as such, but I'm all over the toberfest and the !. All the anticipation is gonna keep me real smiley.

I managed to seriously upset Bret's girlfriend today. She should maybe not be such a child and grow a sense of humor.

Nothing on Foxytunes but I'm listening to Malajube via their website. They're a real sweet band from Quebec. The music is entirely in French but that doesn't stand between them and wonderful indie pop-rock.

Peace out, bitches and hoes! Stay golden.

Shiny New

Music. Kicks. Demotivators. You'll hear the music, I'm sure. I'm playing it now. You'll see the shoes. The Demotivators... Probably not. How often do you stare at my screen saver?

I love Tom Stoppard. The play that's from is fucking amazing.

I mostly posted that one because I'm an asshole and think it describes me. :-D

Anyway, I finally convinced one of you to join me at Acoustic Brew. Yip! We'll see how that goes. 10 days and counting...

Quotelog?

I think I'm gonna start shoving a neat quote into each post. Here's two for your trouble.

All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection. So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible.
-William Faulkner

Morals - all correct moral laws - derive from the instinct to survive. Moral behavior is survival behavior above the individual level. - Robert A. Heinlein

Ten Years Gone

So Meagan was bored today. We ended up hanging out with Megan "James" Greis, her roommate Marisa, and their fuzzy kitten Crash Bandicat. Nikki warned me that hanging with her sister would be weird but it was actually the most normal night I've had in a long time. Hadn't seen James in something like ten years - the time I hadn't seen Nikki plus about a year - and it was nice that things went well and turned out normal.

On a related note it seems Nikki is feeling lonely. She almost seems to resent that people are hanging out with Meagan a lot more than they are with her. The solution is real simple, kiddo:

Meagan invites me to do stuff. I don't say "no." I can't really accept an offer that isn't made. Invite people to hang out and it'll happen. :)

On a related note, movie night Friday! I'm putting an event up on Facebook. If you can get the first two Resident Evils to me that would be great.

I've decided today that while I won't give the Jetta a human name until it shows some personality, it will be known as "Sie Deutschmobile" for the time being.

Peace out, bitches and hoes!

Acoustic Brew

Bret told me to convince some more people to join us at Acoustic Brew.

It's this thing that happens at UC every Thursday where live music takes over Catskellar, the on-campus sports bar, from 6-9. I told him I'd try to bring some people.

Consider this a trial. I'm not sure what's going down this week, but when I find out I'll amend this post accordingly.
