I recently laughed at Andrew for not having seen Super Troopers. I realized today I haven't seen a lot of really mainstream, overrated films. I think I need to start grabbing movies from the library and watching one a week. I'll start with Casablanca and Rent, then move on to any Bond films I haven't seen yet. Any suggestions?
Also, iTunes 8 is out. It has shiny new features!

Ha. I totally remmebered to follow you after school.
Anything in the line of "New Comedys". The aforementioned Super Troopers, Beerfest, Superbad, Hot Rod, Grandma's Boy, stuff like that!
i've never seen super troopers. i'll never willing sit down and watch it without someone else "making" me do so. any movie that i've felt like i've seen without ever actually seeing will most likely not get watched.
i worked at blockbuster when it came out to video. you can imagine the endless stream of quotes i had to endure. not that i have room to talk. i was guilty of over-quoting the big lebowski.
just remember when venturing into older films that you have to see it being good from the standpoint of the time it was released. casablanca was a good flick. i think it still holds it's own today, but it's not nearly as good in today's mindset as it would have been at the time. citizen kane is another. at the time it was state of the art, groundbreaking. today it's just another drama.
my rant is done.... for now.
See, I'm eventually going even more oldschool than that when I hunt down a copy of Fritz Lang's Metropolis.
I have been playing with the iTunes and it's odd.
I still haven't seen Super Troopers.
Hahaha :)
