While I was raiding the Waldenbooks at the mall and drinking an Orange Julius, I happened upon a book on the Cincinnati Subways. Emily and I scouted a short bit of tunnel when we were freshmen, but I never checked out any more of it. I propose an adventure for the whole group. I'm not sure when we'll do it, but a picnic in a subway station would be good fun for everybody. What say you?
Update: How hard can it be to borrow a cutting torch for a day or so? We'll make our own door.

funny. I was just talking to a guy at work about them last night. Seems most everything is sealed off or covered, but if you can find one I'll join.
Also, does walden's have it's closing sale still going on?
I'm in. So long as I can get hold of one of those cool hats with a flashlight on it. I want to play explorer....
I just did some quick research; Jimmy is right. over the past couple of years they've beefed up security around the entrances and completely sealed many of them shut by welding sheet metal around them. A few are accessible by climbing through gaps above the main entrances, but apparently you need to be pretty skinny and pretty flexible to climb and wraggle your way through.
The second problem you come to is flooding; if you guys are going to do this a lot of planning may need to be done because several of the tunnels are flooded at random points, prohibiting you from getting through.
If you guys can find a place to get in though, I'm in!
Just get everett really drunk. He'll find a way in.
